Urlaub bei den Eckarts? Das geht so: morgens die Türe öffnen, eintauchen in eine natürliche Welt, die voller Überraschung steckt! Stallluft schnuppern, beim Melken helfen, Hasen füttern, Eier holen, Pferde reiten. Unser herrliches Allgäu entdecken, ins kühle Nass eintauchen, Gipfel stürmen. Wir, Nadja und Tobias Eckart, unsere beiden Buben Leon und Jan sowie Oma Rita freuen uns auf Sie!

Location & Size

Perhaps you are surprised that our beautiful Allgäu farm sounds a little Italian? This is because a South Tyrolean with the same name was once the owner. Originally, the "Marzelli" farm stood in the middle of the nearby village of Ellhofen. In order to avoid fires, some estates were "resettled" in 1986 and our farm was rebuilt at the present location. Our ancestors finally took it over in 1911 - and we are now the fourth generation Eckart "Beim Marzell". The fifth generation, our two little boys, are already in the starting blocks - so that the history will be successfully continued. The Western Allgäu offers something for everyone, from our farm you can start hiking or get on your bike directly. To Lake Constance it is thirty minutes, to Immenstadt as well. The next village Weiler-Simmerberg is quickly reached, there are bakers, butchers and a dairy cooperative with wonderful Allgäu cheese.

Our three vacation apartments are equipped with solid wood furniture and modern kitchens - and each has its own balcony or terrace, our "Kräuterstube" on the ground floor even has two. No matter which one you like best: the view over the paddock, open stable or apple trees is unearthly beautiful and the view down into the village is a feast for the eyes.

Farm experiences

We are a young family and are especially happy about guests with small children, who can immerse themselves in the Allgäu country life here on our farm. Whoever wants to may help out with us at any time - be it in the stable with the horses or taking care of the chickens, rabbits or cats. About 35 dairy cows and their offspring enjoy their life in the open stable and on the pasture, a massage brush provides the animal wellness feeling. Our calves stay in the deep litter barn with a small terrace - some of them live over the summer on our small young cattle mountain, which can be reached on foot in a few minutes. The three rabbits are happy to be petted and our seventy hens reliably lay the best breakfast eggs for our vacation guests. The children, but also adults can help everywhere from early to late, experience the hay harvest in the summer, ride on the tractor and assist the farmer Tobi with the milking. Farmer Nadja once came to the farm herself as a vacation guest and fell in love not only with the beautiful surroundings. So she came back, brought her wonderful show horse with her and the romantic story took its course. In the meantime, about ten horses of different breeds and sizes live on the Marzelli farm and riding lessons are an integral part of the guest program. Nadja gives riding lessons with the support of the second riding instructor Bine from Monday to Friday, playful for the little ones on the ponies, dressage lessons according to a seat school, the cornerstone of riding. The lessons are for beginners and advanced riders alike, for experienced riders we also offer jumping lessons. Our philosophy? Our horses and also all other animals are family members and are treated accordingly with respect and gentle hand by us. Because: "What we can learn from the horse is worth infinitely more than what we can teach them!" We would like to give this to our guests on the way.

Highlights in the surroundings

Weiler-Simmerberg is picturesquely located in the border triangle between the Alps and Lake Constance and has been one of the 100 places of pleasure in Bavaria since 2018. Numerous alpine dairies that you can visit in the immediate vicinity are just as much a part of this as our two breweries or a chocolate manufactory. The market place in Weiler with its historic town hall, classical concerts or the West Allgäu museum of local history is a feast for the eyes that you should not miss. Our area is characterized by nature, the mountains, hiking trails, for example through the Hausbachklamm. In summer, the nearby Waldsee in Lindenberg or the open-air swimming pool in Weiler attract visitors.

A very special season, however, is our Allgäu winter, when Tobi, the farmer prepares the large toboggan run behind our farm. A fun for young and old! The nearby cross-country ski trail from Waldsee to Alpsee delights our cross-country skiers and numerous large and small family ski areas are virtually on the doorstep.

Upstairs, beneath the beautiful exposed wooden beams, you’ll find three inviting bedrooms and a spacious bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet.

Step out onto the covered terrace and relax—whether enjoying breakfast in the fresh country air or watching the sunset over the Allgäu hills with a glass of wine. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.

A cozy sofa area invites you to relax, while a TV and Wi-Fi provide entertainment and connectivity.

The apartment features two bedrooms and a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower, sink, and toilet.

There are three bedrooms, two of which have double beds. The cozy attic room with two single beds is accessible through one of the double bedrooms—ideal for children or younger guests.

Families are welcome: a crib, a changing table, and a high chair are provided.

The spacious bathroom features a bathtub, a shower, and a toilet; there is also a separate toilet for added convenience.
