Wir leben Bio aus Liebe und Leidenschaft sowie herzliche und offene Gastfreundschaft. Wir lieben die Natur, die Jahreszeiten, Sport im Wasser und auf den Bergen, Musik, Tiere, Sonne, gutes Bio-Essen.

The KönigsCard, is a free additional service and already included in the apartment price: Daily free admission to the mountain railroad, shipping, baths, museums, climbing gardens, climbing hall, summer toboggan run, rafting, mini golf, rent bikes, take the local bus and regional train and in winter daily the 3-hour ski pass as well as ice skating in the halls, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, ski touring.
Sustainable arrival: Free pick-up service from/to train and bus station Füssen, if it is compatible with our agricultural work in the summer;
Washing machine and dryer use: 7 euros per machine and organic detergent (fabric softener may not be used).
Laundry service - additional towels and bed linen are available for a fee as part of our commitment to sustainability.
Arrival from about 15.30, departure at 9.30 - good cleaning takes a lot of time! Sustainable renting: All year round for 7 nights, in the summer vacations for 14 nights.

Nestled in a beautiful hilly landscape and the majestic Allgäu Alps, our organic farm is located on a sunny plateau at an altitude of 860 meters in a quiet, secluded location above the village of Rieden am Forggensee, offering the best panoramic views in the Allgäu. There is no traffic here - our two access roads are private. Our two 5-star chalets, featuring down-to-earth luxury and design, are special retreats – perfect for couples and adults who value peace, views, nature, and quality. With unobstructed views of the picturesque Forggensee, the Allgäu and Tyrolean Alps, and the royal castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, the exclusive Nature Chalets offer a retreat for couples who appreciate peace, stunning views, unspoiled nature, and superior quality. Equipped with fine oak floorboards, a fine Swiss stone pine bed with a natural sleep system, oversized duvets and organic bed linens for a restful sleep, a high-quality carpenter's kitchen, a sophisticated designer bathroom, and underfloor heating, the chalet offers comfort at the highest level. The 11 m² panoramic south-facing balcony is perfect for sunrises and a good breakfast or a glass of wine at sunset. Relax on a sun lounger or simply enjoy the exceptional panoramic view. The view sweeps over the picturesque mountain ridges down to Lake Forggensee, above which the royal castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau tower majestically. Our grazing cows in this postcard-perfect setting complete the feel-good atmosphere of our holiday farm. We are fortunate to call this cinematic setting our home. And it truly is: Due to its incomparable panorama and enchanting rural idyll, the Stögerhof has often served as a film set and photo shoot. The best compliment for us, however, is the description our guests have of the Stögerhof: A little paradise in the southern Allgäu.

Farm Experiences

We live organically and have been operating our farm according to Bioland guidelines as our main source of income since 1998: out of love, passion, and conviction. With us, guests experience sustainable organic farming with all their senses – everything is possible – nothing is mandatory! In our organic gourmet corner, you'll find: Well-aged organic pasture-fed beef (www.bioweidefleisch.com) Dairy products such as cheese and butter from our regional Allgäu organic dairy Organic breakfast eggs from our chickens Demeter honey from our bees Organic alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and much more – such as pasta, sweet and savory treats Sustainable vacation with plenty of space Being authentic and transparent is important to us: We have open barn doors, know every cow by name, and we welcome questions about farming according to Bioland criteria. We care for around 60 cows, calves, and young cattle on the farm. The little calves especially enjoy being pampered with cuddles. Four Alpine stone sheep, six chickens, Willi the tomcat, and the two Appenzeller mountain dogs, Pauli and Johnny, complete our animal gang. There's also plenty of animal activity around the farm: deer and hedgehogs, bats and swallows, as well as various species of birds, can be observed up close. Hares, weasels, and foxes peek shyly out from the undergrowth during a walk. And in spring, you can even spot pelicans flying over Lake Forggensee.

We consider it an absolute privilege to live and work in this unique natural environment. Therefore, our philosophy is more than just species-appropriate animal husbandry and respectful treatment of all animals, plants, and our soil. With effective microorganisms, rock flour, charcoal, and compost, we promote soil life on our grassland. Healthy soil life forms humus, which stores CO2. Mowing the grass without rotary mowers directly protects insects on our hay milk farm.

Highlights in the Surrounding Area

Forests and meadows, rivers and lakes, mountains and castles – and our Stögerhof farm is right in the middle of it all! The unspoiled nature and ecological biodiversity that surrounds us has even more to offer than the spectacular panorama suggests. Water lovers will especially enjoy themselves here: Lake Faulensee is located in the protected landscape area, just a few minutes' walk away, and its tranquility is undisturbed by cars or other motorized vehicles. The famous turquoise-blue Forggensee, as well as Hopfensee, Weissensee, Alatsee, Alpsee, Schwansee, Bannwaldsee, Schmuttersee, Schwaltenweiher, Plansee, and many more are also in the immediate vicinity. Whether sailing, kitesurfing, cycling, rafting, archery, or summer tobogganing, you're guaranteed to never get bored in our recreational paradise. For mountain lovers, the Rieden Alpine foothills offer scenic hikes and spectacular via ferratas, such as the lofty Tegelberg via ferrata with views of the lake and castle. For cyclists, there are countless cycle paths directly from the farm. Further cultural highlights await in Kempten and Kaufbeuren (30 minutes by car), Steingaden Wieskirche (30 minutes by car), Augsburg (1.5 hours by train), or the Bavarian capital of Munich (2 hours by train).

With the KönigsCARD, which our guests receive as a free additional service, you're perfectly equipped to leave your car at home. Not only can you use public transport and cable cars for free, and rent bicycles, but numerous leisure activities are also free. These include admission to museums, swimming pools and thermal baths, as well as climbing gardens and indoor climbing halls, raft trips on Lake Lechsee, boat trips on Lake Forggen and Lake Plansee, and much more.
