How do you imagine your dream vacation in the Allgäu? Clean country air, filled with the scent of grass and hay, wafts through the green expanses of untouched meadows interspersed with patches of forest. Cows graze leisurely on the gentle hills, filling the idyll with life. Wooded mountain ranges form a dreamlike backdrop on the horizon. Too good to be true? Not quite! All this awaits you on vacation at our vacation farm in the small hamlet of Moosreiten in Pfaffenwinkel. See for yourself: The secluded rural location and the view of the mountains are simply sensational. The immediate surroundings are so quiet and unspoiled, so far away from traffic and the hustle and bustle of the city, that sometimes even foxes and deer can be seen within sight of the farm, especially in the early hours of the morning! You can't get any closer to nature than this.
We completed our two new 5-star chalet-style vacation apartments in 2021. We deliberately designed the living spaces to be open and airy: Floor-to-ceiling windows and the glazed roof gable fill the maisonette apartments with plenty of light and sun during the day. In the evening, you can make yourself comfortable in a hanging chair in front of the warming Swedish stove, while the shadows of the flames dance atmospherically up to the high ceiling. A large eat-in kitchen also ensures that cooking is a sociable and communal experience. The kitchen is fully equipped with all kinds of cooking utensils and holidaymakers can look forward to large rain showers in the bathroom. The upscale and tasteful design, stylish wooden flooring made from local oak and underfloor heating will make you feel right at home. The highlight is the large terrace with hammock in front of your own small garden, which extends the living space outside. Whether it's a time-out for two or a family vacation with children and grandparents, everyone will feel at home in our spacious temporary home! Both apartments can be reached via their own entrance. On request, we can fill the fridge with drinks and fresh eggs and milk from our own farm before you arrive.
Farm experiences
Dwarf goats, rabbits, chickens, horses, Shetland ponies and not forgetting the 40 cows characterize our life on the Moosreiten vacation farm. The animals live in a spacious playpen and spend the summer on the pasture, because the love for our animals and the respectful treatment of them determines everyday life on our organic farm. Eleven years ago, we opted for organic hay dairy farming and consistent organic management with a farm that is as self-sufficient as possible. We run it with conviction and passion and are happy to share our everyday life with guests in an authentic way. Have you ever tasted milk fresh from the milking? Is there something you've always wanted to know about life on a farm? We will be happy to answer all your questions as we work together in the barn. Outdoor wellness with a view
Fancy a special kind of wellness? Since winter 2022, a very special treat has enriched your vacation on our farm. Our fine "wellness area" on the covered loading wagon shows that we are always open to new ideas, just like our farm. The inside invites you to sweat it out in the organic sauna, while the nature outside invites you to recharge your batteries. Relaxing in the hot tub with bubble jets is also pure luxury after a hike! There is privacy despite the option of opening up the loading wagon on one side, as use of the wellness wagon can be booked exclusively.
For an extra dose of relaxation and warmth in the chalets, we are happy to lend you our infrared mat - try it out. And because restful sleep is so important, you can order and test additional pillows from us. Our aim is to ensure that holidaymakers feel completely at ease and want for nothing!
Camping vacation on the farm
If you like to be self-sufficient on vacation and prefer to bring your own home on four wheels, you can look forward to a dream location with plenty of space on three camping pitches. Because we see ourselves as one big family, our camper guests can move around everywhere, get a taste of farming and, of course, use the wellness facilities just like the other guests.
Highlights in the surrounding area
What you can do wonderfully with us is to live comfortably into the day - in addition, countless excursion possibilities are waiting right on the doorstep. The children love to stay here anyway due to the countless possibilities, enjoy cuddling in the "petting zoo" or experience new adventures every day that a farm offers. In summer, excursions can be made to the nearby and very idyllic Lake Kaltenbrunn, which is a real insider tip for a romantic picnic or a refreshing dip in the cold water. Culturally, the old town of Füssen in particular shows its most beautiful side and is always worth a visit with a short journey of just 25 minutes. The versatile Tegelberg mountain above LakeForggensee is ideal for hiking or climbing.
In winter, when snow falls and a white blanket of graceful beauty covers the meadows, there is nothing better than taking a walk directly from the farm on a sledge or even skiing down the slope.
After eventful day trips, we recommend ending the evening with a cozy stop at Haus Alpenblick. Just ask us! We have plenty of tips for you.
