Experienced hikers who do not suffer from vertigo should definitely climb it and have a bird's eye view of our farm. You can walk to the centre of the village in just under 15 minutes - this is where the \"Zoberbauer\" once stood, whose history goes back at least to the 18th century and which we are running in the 8th generation. Forty years ago, it was relocated to its present site, as it had become too cramped for farming in the centre of the village. Its name, \"Zoberbauer\", comes, we assume, from the location of the old farm directly on the mill stream and is derived from the wash tubs.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003EIt is about five kilometres to Ettal, 25 km to Murnau, Garmisch-Patenkirchen can be reached in about 25 minutes and the Austrian border is 20 kilometres away.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003EWe have furnished our holiday flats in a contemporary country house style with solid wood furniture and beautiful fabrics, the kitchens are well equipped and the view, depending on the position of the balcony, falls over meadows and trees to the \"Kofel\", our local mountain or to the \"Laberk\u00f6pferl\" - with morning, afternoon or evening sun.\u00a0\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003EInsights, views, living traditions and a nature that could not be more beautiful and which we are happy to share: we think that it does not need more to recover from everyday life and have been hosts with heart for forty years now.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Ch3\u003EFarm experiences\u003C\/h3\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003EWe love our job, the animals, our breathtaking nature, with which we have lived in harmony for many generations. Our organic farm has always been mindful and careful with both and our roots, intertwined in the history of Oberammergau, have remained authentic and strong. We enthusiastically take part in passion plays as amateur actors - then we wear long beards and spend many months preparing for our roles.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003EOur three grown-up sons Florian, Konrad and Andreas have partly already started families of their own, but they still help out and the farm handover is in preparation. At the moment we have switched to grassland farming - which means that our cows and calves graze on the pastures or the Soila Alm - and we are looking forward to how the next generation will continue to write our story.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003EWhat we are not is an adventure farm. Because we think that our beautiful location alone is enough of an experience. That's exactly why our guests come: Families with children who go to Lake Soier or Lake Staffelsee in summer, go on a mountain tour and otherwise enjoy the beautiful view or have a chat with the farmer. Or have a chat with Annemarie, the farmer's wife, about her vegetable garden. There are hundreds of them and there are still countless in our region. As a farmer's wife, I have made my deep love of nature part of my profession by taking the herbal education exam. And if my time permits - I will gladly take you on an exciting journey of medicinal herbs. Especially when there is snow and wide walking paths invite you to go for a hike. Almost a stone's throw from our house is the Kolbensesselbahn - the Steckenberg lift is also very close. Cross-country skiers are best off heading to the high-altitude Graswangtal, known for its \"K\u00f6nig-Ludwig-Lauf\" (King Ludwig Run), which takes place annually in February and is Germany's largest popular cross-country skiing event.
