Welcome to a vacation at Gut Romenthal in Bavarias Five Lakes Region.
At the heart of the estate lies a beautifully landscaped courtyard with a fountain and a cultural and historical gem: the Rococo Chapel of St. Anna. For those seeking peace and quiet, nature lovers, and connoisseurs, Gut Romenthal is the perfect place to relax and recharge. Enjoy the estates special atmosphere and gain a glimpse into farm life here. Farmers Peter and Michi take care of our Charolais herd of suckler cows as well as all agricultural and technical matters.
Right from our property, our guests have access to an extensive network of beautiful hiking and biking trails offering sweeping views of the lake and the mountains. The beautiful Ammersee, with its diverse recreational opportunities, is just a 10-minute walk away. Sailors, surfers, pedal boat enthusiasts, swimmers, and stand-up paddlers will find wonderful opportunities here.
In addition, the cozy taverns and excellent restaurants in town invite you to enjoy yourself. Excursions to well-known Bavarian cultural sites are also a great optionthere is so much to discover!
The wider surroundings of the Bavarian Alpine foothills offer many beautiful excursion options just about an hour away, for example to Munichs local mountains, the Bavarian royal castles near Füssen, the state capital Munich, and the Fugger city of Augsburg. And much more...
Romenthal Estate is a historic site first mentioned in records dating back to 1315. At that time, it was a farmstead belonging to the Augustinian monastery in Dießen. Even then, the estate was operated as the monasterys agricultural holding. The St. Anna chapel on the estate was built by the famous Rococo architect Johann Michael Fischer, who also designed the impressive monastery church in Dießen.
After an eventful history, during which the estate was under state ownership for an extended period, a new chapter began in 2008: Gut Romenthal was acquired by private owners, renovated with great attention to detail, and carefully revitalized.
Today, the estate presents itself as a modern, expanded family business engaged in sustainable agriculture and forestry.
On the estate...
we practice organic farming with suckler cow husbandry and breeding. In the summer, our white Charolais cattle live in natural herds with their calves and the bull, grazing in the pastures around the clock. Animal welfare, sustainability, and hospitality are matters close to our hearts.
Our two lovingly decorated vacation apartments on the sunny west side are equipped with high-quality amenities and individually furnished. From the terrace, you can enjoy wonderful sunsets and a direct view of the surrounding greenery.
Organic farm products...
from our own farm, such as the finest organic Charolais grass-fed beef, apple juice from our orchard, and honey, are available from us depending on seasonal availability.

Holiday flat Claire
Located in a quiet spot on the sunny west-facing terrace, the apartment measures a good 70 square meters and features two bedrooms, each sleeping two people, a bathroom, and a spacious living and dining area with an open kitchen. The bright apartment is on the ground floor and offers direct access to a terrace furnished with garden furniture, providing an unobstructed view of the green pastures. The apartment is equipped with everything you need for a successful, relaxing stay and to feel right at home. The entire apartment features high-quality Solnhofen stone tile floors and is heated by underfloor heating.

… features beautiful, custom-designed furniture and modern amenities, including a large TV to which you can connect your laptop, free Wi-Fi, a stereo system, and a cozy atmosphere.
The open kitchen…
features a fully equipped built-in kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, ceramic cooktop, refrigerator with freezer compartment, coffee makers, kettle, toaster, electric mixer, sandwich maker, as well as plenty of dishes, cutlery, cookware, glasses, etc.
The bathroom
The shower room, designed with beautiful materials, provides as many towels as you need, a hair dryer, an extra cosmetic mirror, a natural wellness line of body and hair shampoo, and liquid soap.
The terrace…
offers an unobstructed view of the greenery. A garden table and chairs, as well as two lounge chairs and a deck chair, are provided. Outdoor chair cushions and lounge chair pads can be found in the outdoor chest on the terrace.

Please park in the small parking lot on the north side of the building.
Holiday flat Pegasus
This vacation rental, situated in a quiet location on the sunny west-facing terrace, is generously sized at approximately 100 square meters and accommodates up to five people. Youll be greeted by a spacious living and dining area with an open kitchen. The bright apartment is on the ground floor, offering direct access to a terrace furnished with garden furniture and unobstructed views of the green pastures.
There are two large bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and an additional single bed, plus a spacious bathroom. The second bedroom features a large, comfortable double bed and an en-suite bathroom. Your beds will be made upon your arrival.
The apartment is equipped with everything you need for a successful, relaxing stay and to feel right at home. The entire apartment features high-quality Solnhofen stone tile floors and is heated by underfloor heating.

offers an unobstructed view of the greenery. Garden furniture, wooden loungers, and a deck chair are available. Outdoor chair cushions and lounger pads can be found in the chest on the terrace. We are happy to provide a grill.
