Children's paradise withcozy vacation apartments

We are happy to provide our guests daily with fresh bread rolls and with milk and eggs from our animals.
On the day of arrival you can move into your apartment from 15.00 o'clock. We ask you to leave the apartment until 10.00 am on the day of departure.

Location & Size

Our Lettnerhof is located in the Tölzer Land in Upper Bavaria, more precisely in the district of Höfen, surrounded by meadows and away from the main road that leads through the beautiful Jachenau. The good location between Bad Tölz and Garmisch-Partenkirchen is optimal to make trips to the many beautiful sights in the area. We are a traditional grassland farm with dairy and forestry. Cows and calves, mini pigs, dwarf goats, chickens and guinea pigs live here with us and look forward to visitors and, of course, petting. When our guests arrive, it is very important to us that they feel comfortable and welcome. Our two vacation apartments are comfortably and cozily furnished, with lots of wood and harmonious colors. There is room for 2 to 5 people, there are two bedrooms each, a bathroom, a fully equipped eat-in kitchen and a cozy sitting and sofa corner. The location of our farm is perfect to start directly to hikes, bike tours or cross-country skiing rounds through the beautiful Jachenautal. But also on our farm there is no boredom: The huge children's playground and the large playroom in the basement and of course a visit to the barn will not let boredom arise.

Farm experiences

The best thing about our region is that there is something to discover here in every season. In spring it is the blooming, fragrant meadows around our farm, in summer the crystal clear waters of Lake Walchen and the freshly mown hay. In autumn, the colorful forests and the nearby mountain peaks lure you out into nature, and in winter there is nothing better than exploring the snow-covered landscape on skis, on foot or on a sled, glistening in the sun.

Helping out and creating memories

Unforgettable childhood experiences are so precious. At our farm, (not only) the little guests can learn quite a lot about animals, life and work on the farm. The animals are happy when they are fed and petted and we are happy when the children's eyes light up. Every day we get into our rubber boots at 5:30 p.m. and then off to the barn. After the cows come from the pasture, our guests can watch the milking, help with the feeding and of course be very close because all other tasks in the barn and learn a lot about milk production. For children we have special children's pitchforks and brooms. Our small animal round with Laura is also particularly popular: collecting eggs, feeding goats, petting guinea pigs ... Those who have helped particularly diligently during their vacation will be presented with a barn diploma at the end.

These highlights also await our guests:

Take a tractor ride

Relaxing on the sunbathing lawn

Playing in the sandbox and on the playground

Tasting herbs from the herb patch

Barbecue over the fireplace

Jumping on the trampoline

Hike to the house's own mountain pasture

Playing in the playroom when it rains

Swings, slides...

Race around the farm with the car pool

Play and splash in the pool

Winter fun in the snow

In winter, the cross-country ski trail and a small sledding hill very close to the farm attract. Here, young and old whiz down the mountain on the toboggan and can warm up afterwards with a hot cocoa or tea in the cozy vacation apartment. The Brauneck ski area is only 13 kilometers away. Even beginners can dare to get on the ski boards here and learn the winter sport. We are happy to lend sledges and cross-country skis to our guests and also have a drying room for ski equipment.

Highlights in the surroundings

The Jachenau is also known as the sunny valley because of its location, there is hardly any fog here. Ideal conditions to hike early in the morning to our farm alpine pasture below the Benediktenwand, where our young cattle spend the summer. The ascent takes about two hours and rewards with a fantastic mountain panorama. For a refreshment it is then another 20 minutes further up to the managed Bichler Alm. Our guests can also reach other destinations very easily, for example the village center with restaurants and a village store four kilometers away by bike. The "Bavarian Caribbean", the Walchensee, is a highlight and very worthwhile. As easy hikes we can recommend, for example, the tour to the waterfall in the Laindltal or to the Rotwand view (45 minutes from the farm). Bad Tölz and Garmisch-Partenkirchen are also easily accessible by car. Even if the sun doesn't shine so brightly, a trip into nature is worthwhile - for example to the Leutasch or Partnach gorge.
