On the day of your arrival, you can move into the flat from 3:00 pm. To ensure that the flat is cleaned in time for your successors, we kindly ask you to vacate the flat by 10.00 a.m. on the day of your departure.
Location & size
How does it feel to live all alone without immediate neighbours? Very well, we think, and so do our guests! The Steffahof is situated in an idyllic location high above the Grümpel valley in the district of Kronach. While the Grümpel stream meanders through the valley, framed by green forest and meadow slopes, you can enjoy a dreamlike view from the top of our farm, which even makes locals rave.
In our guesthouse, three 80-100 m², high-quality furnished 4-star holiday flats await you, as well as a small but exquisite 40 m² flat. With our bread roll service, you can start the day relaxed in the morning. In our cosy common room, which is also suitable for groups of up to 16 people, you can browse through our game collection or browse through books. Even better, on a rainy or cold winter day: the crackling open fire in the common room! And enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, which you can make right away in the small kitchen in the common room.
Farm experiences
Being a farmer, close to nature, like in the old days? On the Steffahof, a part-time farm that has been in the family since 1874, we'll show you: We still mow the mountain meadows by hand and turn the grass to dry with the pitchfork. But our cows and calves help us a bit: They enjoy the summer on a hillside pasture and thus relieve us of work.
Feel real farming with all your senses: looking after animals, helping with the harvest
The welfare of our animals is close to our hearts. On our farm, the calves are allowed to drink their own milk after they are born with their mothers. Our cheeky Fjord horse Ingo comes to the paddock every day. Meanwhile, the curious rabbits Linus and Max hop through the horse stall and nibble the food that Ingo has overlooked. And always ready to cuddle are our cats, who also like to go hunting for prey in the stable and on the meadows. You will be greeted by our lovely shepherd dog Eva and from time to time we also have feathered game: ducks, geese or sometimes chickens. You can get very close to all our animals: when they are fed and mucked out, when they are groomed, when their hooves are scratched out or when they are ridden - pony Ingo is led by our granddaughters who are experienced with horses. Real experiences remain unforgettable: The tickling smacking of calves licking your fingers. The earthy smell of harvesting potatoes. The ride on the tractor to pick up the bales of straw. And rarely will your snack taste as good as after haymaking! But health and play are not neglected here either: why not take advantage of our

Winter at Steffahof
The numerous ski lifts and cross-country ski trails in the Franconian Forest have long been popular with more than just locals! Many of our winter holidaymakers appreciate the short distances to get there, for example to the Ködellift ski area near Nordhalben or to the winter sports centres of Tettau and Ludwigsstadt in the Franconian Rennsteig region. Incidentally, the Döbraberg offers the most challenging alpine downhill runs in our area. And if you are looking for cross-country skiing trails: You can start above the Steffahof! The only way to white fun is even shorter for tobogganers - open the front door, get on the toboggan and down the snow-covered slopes.
