Organic farm between Tegernsee & Bad Tölz

Arrival is possible from 17:00 - 19:00. We ask for telephone feedback if another time is desired. Departure is at 10.00 am.

Location & Size

Our farm is located in the wonderful Tölzer Land in the tranquil village of Piesenkam, a good ten kilometers northeast of the spa town of Bad Tölz, which is known not only for its Leonhardiritt. Nature, preservation of species - and the cultivation of our customs determine our everyday life through the seasons. The beautiful Tegernsee is only about ten kilometers away, to Miesbach you need about a quarter of an hour, to Munich it is about 40 kilometers.

We are now running our farm in the sixth generation - but the farm itself is much older, because it was once part of the Tegernsee monastery and was first mentioned in a document in 1331. Our grandfather Wilhelm Büchl built a new farmhouse with three guest rooms in 1964 - and in 1967 the first summer visitors enjoyed the land and air. In 2005, daughter Michaela took over and converted to organic farming together with her husband, now farmer Georg.

Our guest rooms and the vacation apartment are located on the 2nd floor and in the attic, we have furnished them authentically and brightly in a contemporary country house style. The materials are of high quality, the fabrics tasteful and on request we prepare a breakfast basket with eggs from our own chickens, homemade jam and rolls from the good village baker. In summer, the balcony beckons for this - or, if you feel like it, our table in the beautiful garden. Dreaming, looking at the brightly shining Karwendel, the Wallberg or Wendelstein: actually, it is quite easy to immediately switch to vacation mode with us.

Farm experiences

We are a farm that converted to organic farming in 2005. We have replaced the traditional dairy farm with young cattle, which are allowed to enjoy the beautiful view from our lush meadows from May to October. In winter they are fed with our own hay, which during the summer months is regularly cut, dried and brought in by farmer Georg with his tractor. Families with children can experience what it's like on an organic farm, help out or accompany the farmer on a tractor ride - for example, when the herd is supplied with fresh water every day in summer. Since the surrounding farms still practice dairy farming, the way there is only a stone's throw away.

What is particularly important to us? To treat our nature with care. This is true for our young cattle as well as for the 10 sheep, about 70 chickens, which are living a species-appropriate life in their mobile stables and our cats, which are happy about every stroke. Our vacation guests, families with children or couples, especially appreciate our quiet location and the beautiful view. We are not an adventure farm by conviction - because we find that the experience takes place directly in front of the door. The relaxation, our guests tell us, then sets in all by itself. What else is there with us:

  • Swings, trampoline
  • kettcars, pedal bulldogs with trailers and bobbycars
  • a beautiful barbecue area
  • raised beds, about which a lot can be said
  • We are all musicians: especially grandpa Wilhelm, who plays the zither, is always available for a "chat" with the guests.

Our natural pool as a treat

We try to operate as sustainably as possible. Our wood chip heating is powered by wood from our own forest, the tap water is supported by natural water revitalization, the vacation apartments and the farm are kept clean exclusively with symbiotic cleaning agents and our photovoltaic system generates ecological electricity. The focal point on our farm is the natural pool, usable from May to October, which we heat with our own eco-electricity during the cool months. In summer, of course, it provides cool refreshment.

Winter in Upper Bavaria

Even if there is no snow guarantee here, winter is one of the most beautiful seasons. If Frau Holle is kind to us, the cross-country ski trails are groomed and you can start directly from the farm. Alpine skiers can reach the Brauneck ski area in Lenggries in 20 minutes. Especially recommended is the toboggan run on the nearby Wallberg: a pleasure for young and old.

Highlights in the surroundings

In the middle of nature, away from the noise of the streets and the hustle and bustle of everyday life. with us, the rhythm of the seasons determines everyday life. Our farm is centrally located between the Isarwinkel, the Tegernsee and the state capital Munich. In summer, the nearby Kirchsee lake is an attraction for swimming and a visit to the fine Klosterstüberl in Reutberg, a trip to Bad Tölz or Munich as well as mountain tours to the surrounding peaks. Tradition is actively lived in the village: we ourselves play house music and our traditional costume clubs organize hearty forest festivals in the village, which are certainly something special.
