Location & Size
The Eulenberghof Kraus is located far away from traffic at the idyllic edge of the forest of Spiesberg. The small village belongs to the municipality of Altenkunstadt in the district of Lichtenfels and is known for its bread baking tradition. Due to our central location between Bamberg, Coburg, Kulmbach and Bayreuth and the proximity to Franconian Switzerland, you can reach popular sights within 30 to 60 minutes by car - including famous dripstone caves, castles, palaces and natural monuments.
Our guesthouse, which offers five well-kept holiday flats as well as a charming double room furnished in the style of the 1970s, is named after its location: built on a small hill, the Eulenberg, it offers you a magnificent view of the Fichtelgebirge. Thanks to our large lounge for up to 30 people, the Eulenberghof Kraus is ideally suited for family reunions or group holidays. In addition, with the "Kiefererschonung" holiday flat, we have barrier-free accommodation with direct access to the terrace.

Hold fluffy chicks in your hand, feed sweet baby rabbits with dandelions or watch young kids jumping exuberantly across the meadow: There is a lot to experience on the Kraus family's farm, which is only a few steps away from our guesthouse.
Smell, stroke, taste ... and of course join in!
On our particularly child-friendly holiday farm you can experience farming with all your senses: The daily tour of the farm in the late afternoon usually starts in the cow shed with the calves, leads to the two trusting ostriches who love to pick grains from the feed shovel, and ends - after the goats have been fed, the rabbits in the barn and all the chicken eggs collected - usually with the piglets. If you haven't had enough of animals yet, stroke the farm cats or make yourself comfortable at the fallow deer enclosure directly opposite the holiday home - watching the goings-on of the shy cloven-hoofed animals has a very decelerating effect. Why do we bake bread for the village on our farm every Wednesday? Because in Spiesberg - as in many other villages on the Jura heights - it has been done for generations! You are welcome to watch us stoking the stone oven, kneading the natural sourdough and taking the hot loaves out of the oven. What does bread taste like with so much baking tradition in it? Just try it!
Winter at the Eulenberghof Kraus
Our holiday farm is not located in a typical winter sports region, but when the snow falls, you can experience the joys of winter in a beautiful landscape: right behind the house, you can slide down the meadows at the Eulenberg on a toboggan or sledge along the agricultural paths in the forest - we have a small selection of toboggans ready for you. And there are even two ski lifts in our vicinity: on the Staffelberg (Romansthal car park) and in Lichtenfels (Lahm district). If the snow conditions are right, you will find cross-country ski trails at Görauer Anger and in Lahm - or you can simply make your own way and enjoy the silence in the snow.
Highlights in the surrounding area
The Eulenberghof Kraus lies in the midst of a gently rolling landscape, which is often referred to as "God's garden" because of its outstanding beauty. In 20 to 30 minutes by car you can reach the landmarks of this region: the imposing Staffelberg plateau, the Banz Monastery and the pilgrimage church of Vierzehnheiligen. Equally worth seeing are the rock caves at Ebneth, which have been designated a natural monument, and the Jewish cemetery there - one of the largest of its kind in Bavaria. Those interested in the history of the region can visit the German Cobbler Museum (Burgkunstadt) and the German Basket Museum (Michelau) or hike along the "Schlauwienix" nature trail from Weismain to the Kordigast. Up there, under clear skies, you can enjoy a magnificent view that stretches from Veste Coburg to Plassenburg Castle to Kulmbach - two worthwhile excursion destinations that we recommend as well as e.g.:

Die Wohnung hat ein großes Elternschlafzimmer indem kann man gerne noch ein Kinderbettchen aufstellen. Das Kinderzimmer hat ein Hochbett und ein normales 90*200 Meter Bett.

Unsere Ferienwohnung Landhaus verfügt über einen separatem Eingang mit großzügigem Wohn- Eßbereich. Sie finden zwei große Schlafzimmer vor indem auch vier Erwachsene platz finden. Diese befinden sich im 2. Stock. Das großzügige Bad verfügt auch ein Fenster nach außen.
Nachdem diese Wohnung sich im Nebengebäude befindet haben sie niemanden über sich oder unter sich.
Die Wohnküche ist ausgestattet mit Spülmaschine, Mikrowelle, Elektroherd einem großen Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach. Selbstverständlich finden sie auch einen Wasserkocher und Kaffeemaschine vor.
Die überdachte Terasse rundet diese Wohnung ab.
